In 2003,  the women of the Chorus decided they wanted to have an additional impact on in the community. It was important for them to focus on issues that directly affect women. They decided to donate 5% of all their season subscription revenues to community partners.

Youth First Texas (www.youthfirsttexas.org) provides young people -- up to age 22 -- an opportunity to learn who they are, and to understand all that encompasses as they grow into fine men and women. Youth First Texas' mission is to provide group interaction and individual support for youth through a youth center and a variety of programs so that they experience self-acceptance and empowerment.

Youth First Texas is the only non-profit organization in Dallas that is exclusively committed to providing social services, educational opportunities, and recreational activities for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youth through age 22. Their mission is to provide group interaction and individual support for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning Youth by providing age-appropriate activities, programs, and resources that facilitate empowerment and self-acceptance. Youth First Texas provides several youth meetings and groups for support, as well as social and recreational programs.
